History
The history of The Oaks Waterfront Inn & Events dates back to the 17th century. Nestled on 42 acres of land, the venue was first sold to Frederick and Louise Harper in 1884. The Harpers began running the Inn as a boarding house in 1902 to help with farm expenses. In 1971 the couple sold it to the German Company Schwaben International who ran it as a corporate resort and cultural conference center. Purchased by a St. Michaels couple in 1996, the venue was completely renovated and now features spacious rooms with water views and modern conveniences.
